Aims and Scope of the Journal
(a) To improve the prestige of the field of Communication for Development and Social Change in both academic and professional environments,
(b) To create a forum and meeting place for academics, professionals, decision-makers, practitioners and others involved in communication for development and social change, and
(c) To exchange information and engage in intellectual discussions about the field of communication for development and social change.
The journal starts from cross-, inter-, trans- and multi-disciplinary perspectives, basically encompassing the theoretical and applied disciplines in the human and social sciences. Its disciplinary focus will be on the role of communication (interpersonal communication, traditional media and mass media, as well as information and communication technologies) in processes of social change at distinct societal levels (global, regional, national, local and interpersonal) in both the Global South and North.
