Jake's House

The 1803 House

The Georgian house of Jake Ehrenhardt, a memorial of generosity in Emmaus. The stone home was constructed in 1803, for Jake's wife and four daughters. It's significance stems from its history, as Jake's house represents the generosity of it's owner's father. As Jake Ehrenhardt Sr. had donated 100 acres of land to begin the settlement of Emmaus, and in turn, his son left his home to his family. Nowadays, the Ehrenhardt family generosity continues into today, with Jake's house being home to tours, events, and glimpse back in time, to yesterday's day-to-day. Generosity begets generosity.
