Dannell has worked in web and interactive design for over 15-years. She loves making web presence both beautiful and usable with attention to pixel-perfect detail and intuitive user interface design. A web design teacher for 13-years, Dannell’s pedagogy is for students to be innovative about the web as an experience. She intends for students to create new designs out of mental associations that push out against borders instead of filling in the blanks. She currently teaches at Kutztown University in southeastern Pennsylvania.
She earned a BA in Digital Art from Tyler School of Art, MEd in Art Education from Kutztown University, and MFA in Graphic Design at Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her clients have included Men’s Health magazine, Women’s Health magazine, Rodale Books, Esquire magazine, Woman’s Day magazine, and many more. Dannell is active with Healing Through the Arts, a non-profit that places original artwork in hospitals and clinics around the Lehigh Valley, Upper Milford Zoning Board, and the Emmaus Main Street Partners. When not designing, she can be found concocting new recipes or walking with her adorable, therapy dog Mallory Ting.
